The Backstory

I’m an art student and loan parent of three, who has issues with laundry and a lazy streak.

My family is a close one.

My mother and brother live two doors down and it’s fantastic. (Most of the time.) We are like one mad hippy community, but without the communal sex and pot sharing obviously. We live very close to Manchester in the UK, a cultural mecca! I’m not from round here though, but wouldn’t want to be anywhere else now.

My boyfriend of 2 years is fabulous and patient, two very handy qualities! He’s moving up to live near me as soon as possible. Near, not with though. Not yet.

I’m hoping to go to uni later this year. My UCAS form has been done and dusted so we’ll have to see what happens.

I’ve been asked why I chose this blog name… Well if you check out the unabridged English dictionary:

Ambiguous:

1. open to or having several possible meanings or interpretations; equivocal: an ambiguous answer.
2. Linguistics. (of an expression) exhibiting constructional homonymity; having two or more structural descriptions, as the sequence Flying planes can be dangerous.
3. of doubtful or uncertain nature; difficult to comprehend, distinguish, or classify: a rock of ambiguous character.
4. lacking clearness or definiteness; obscure; indistinct: an ambiguous shape; an ambiguous future.

Artisan:

a person skilled in an applied art; a craftsperson.

UPDATE

The Boyf and I are nearing 3 years of being an item now. Sounds like a nice hefty chunk. My uni application went better than expected and I got into a pretty prestigious place in the middle of Manchester. Things are harder at the moment, due to some student life/financial/world economy going to hell issues, but muddling through is what the British do best.
